EVEN before the official Vibe opening at 3pm, our church gates were open to some visitors who arrived early, eager to experience Vibe Café. The atmosphere in the sanctuary was cozy and warm, with Cheryl providing guitar accompaniment as the floor-ball girls sang “Right here waiting”, preparing for Martha’s surprise later on.

Ruth and friend take it easy as they slurp up our favourite mocktails.

Hmmm...This looks easy easy!

Everybody loves to connect! Geddit? Connect-4, connect? Hahaha

Let's have another round of it!

Hah! Taboo! I got you!
The rest of the early comers made themselves comfy on the cushions scattered around the sanctuary, while our friendly waiters went around taking orders. Friendly chatter ensued between friends, old and new. As the hours passed by, the room started filling up and the air buzzed with boisterous conversation, giving the church a fun and exciting carnival atmosphere. The orders for the kitchen came fast and furious and all seemed pleased with the Italian cuisine Vibe Café February had to offer.

Yvonne loves her food!

Don't wanna miss a photo-taking opportunity!

Of laughter and joy...

Eh eh, don't play cheat ah!

Lynn Shan: This bruschette is awesome!
Jiahao: Mmmm...

Julia, Catherine and Calvin.
The excitement of the day came to a climax as Martha’s students presented to her the surprise song item and a speech which touched her heart.

Martha, all smiles...(:

Shortly after, was a surprise birthday dedication to…Lilis! Ian and David took the stage with several of our favourite worship songs. The audience was ever spontaneous, singing along and swaying to the familiar tunes. Topping off the little surprise was the duo with some Teresa Teng. The atmosphere at this point was so hyped up as Ian crooned one of the most popular love ballads, “The Moonlight Represents My Heart”, to his wife.
Also dedicated to the birthday girl, an a capella performance by Aunty Abigail. As the sisters-in-Christ stood together on stage, the audience clapped along with unreserved enthusiasm, enjoying the soulful singing of Aunty Abigail. Simple melody, deep friendship. Blessed birthday, Lilis! (:

David and Ian. "If music be the food of love, play on..."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILIS!

Jill and her team!

Lester: Give me some foooooood!

There, we have another one...!

Our very own bevy of supporters(: Yea, go girls!
As the day drew into night, Vibe Café was officially closed for the day and visitors and GLCC members alike left with smiles on their faces and lasting memories of good company, food, drink and song. Vibe laborers then adjourned to clean up and pack up for the day has come to an end.
What a day it was! All's wonderful that ends wonderful.
Have you had a taste of heaven yet?
